Tennessee!

Well we made the trip up to Tennessee, finally hitched up and took off from Austin. I ended up renting a U-haul truck and trailer to pull the car. We went through with our original plan of going to the Cajun music festival/cook-off in Lafayette, LA and boy was that fun! I already miss the boudin, and the extensive bayous, gonna have to make a longer trip down there, but since we had this u-haul we had to get it up to Nashville on a deadline. It was nice to see a bunch of good friends at the festival, and they were all sad to see the state of the car, but glad to see we were alive and doing better. The insurance company is dragging their feet, so it hasn't been any fun waiting for them to make up their minds. But, gotta keep moving on with everything, so the car will just sit at my parents house until we get word from them, and hopefully they'll come inspect it and give me some money to fix it! And Lane's hospital bills are way more than my insurance company will cover, so we're really hoping to win this case and get recompensated by the other company. But for now, it's time to spend some time with family, and then head onto Arkansas to get some good rest, and collect parts for the car.

  1. We were very sorry to hear of the accident, but relieved that your injuries were no worse that they were. Poor little Model A. And poor violin! Prayers your way for a speedy recovery and fair compensation for both the car and Lane's medical expenses. Scott and I enjoyed having you in our home. It was fun hearing about your adventures and enjoying your trip through your stories.
